Our Region

Central Victoria is exciting and diverse, encompassing the Shires of Macedon Ranges, Hepburn and Mount Alexander. We service an area from the slopes of Mount Macedon across fertile grazing land to the goldfields of Mount Alexander. It is a region characterised by four distinct seasons, each with their own character; bracing Winters, abundant Springs, balmy Summers and idylic still Autumns.

The area has thrived since the 1850s and today offers an amazingly wide range of lifestyles. You can enjoy the sense of community of a country town, luxuriate in a grand home, live on the outskirts of town with room for a pony or take on a serious farming venture.

With the facility of the fast train and freeway a number of people commute to Melbourne or Bendigo while many others live, work and invest in our community.

Malmsbury

Situated 10 minutes to the north of Kyneton, Malmsbury was a service centre for travellers heading for the goldfields of the north and became a thriving town in the mid-1800s, due to its rich agricultural lands and gold bearing soils. Bluestone was abundant in and around Malmsbury and was quarried to build many significant buildings, including the National Trust-classified Railway Viaduct set behind the renowned botanical gardens which were established on nine hectares of river flats in 1863, largely with flora supplied by Baron Ferdinand Von Mueller, who designed Melbourne's Botanical Gardens.

More recently the village has become known for its strong artistic community boasting renown painters, sculptors and musicians.
